Objectives of the Program
The BS Agricultural and Applied Economics program aims to produce students who: (1) have technical background in agriculture and related sciences, (2) have understanding of the economic theories and tools in analyzing issues and problems in the agriculture and related sectors, and (3) are able to provide insights on policies and strategies relating to sustainable agricultural and rural development.
Program Learning Outcomes
At the end of the program, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics graduates will be able to
- Discuss the concept and context of sustainable agricultural and rural development
- Acquire and understand knowledge of fundamental agricultural and allied sciences, and economic theories and tools that underlie the study of agricultural and applied economics
- Apply the economic theories and tools in addressing issues and problems in the agriculture and related sectors
- Conduct research in agricultural and applied economics
- Understand the role of agricultural and applied economics in providing public service to stakeholders.
