B.S. Agribusiness Management
Initially, the program was a joint undertaking with the College of Business Administration in UP Diliman way back 1966-1974. With the founding of the Institute of Agricultural Development and Administration (the present College of Economics and Management) in 1975, it assumed the administration of the program from the College of Agriculture. The program can now be completed in the College of Economics and Management.
This program was designed to enhance expertise for increased managerial responsibility in farms, agro-industries and public agencies of individuals engaged in planning and implementing agribusiness development projects/ programs.
As a field of study, agribusiness is management in orientation and is concerned not only with the technical side of agriculture but also with the management of a business. Students specializing in this area can expect to be exposed to business concepts, economic principles and management tools necessary to solve marketing, financial, production and personnel concerns of agriculture-based businesses.
New Freshmen are admitted directly to the program through the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT)
MASTER OF MANAGEMENT (MM)
The Master of Management major in Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship degree program is envisioned to promote a shift from traditional agribusiness undertakings to value-creating enterprises through innovation at the MSME and corporate levels. It aims to produce graduates who will invigorate the economy by engaging in entrepreneurial ventures, creating jobs and fueling the growth of the food and agribusiness system.
To be conferred with the degree, a student must complete a total of 39 units which can be completed in two years.
The Master of Management major in Business Management degree program was instituted to respond to the rapid growth of industrial and non-agri-based enterprises in the Philippines particularly, in CALABARZON and the Asia-Pacific region.
The program is aimed at developing success-oriented and socially-responsible managers and entrepreneurs who shall establish and manage non-agri-based enterprises into economically-viable entities.
The curriculum has a total of 39 units which can be completed in two years.
