Master of Management Major in Cooperative Management (MM-CM)
The Master of Management major in Cooperative Management is a a joint graduate program offering of the Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) and the Department of Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (DAME) which aims to provide students with advanced knowledge on the functional areas of management, entrepreneurship and enterprise development in the specific context for the cooperative sector.

ICOPED-CEM Hosts Seminar on the Amendments on Cooperative Guidelines

About ICOPED
The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED), an academic unit under the College of Economics and Management, University of the Philippines Los Baños, provides a strong focus on the development of cooperatives as viable economic and social business enterprises through its instruction, research, extension and training, networking, and policy advocacy programs. This is consistent with the United Nations’ framework that emphasizes “the contribution of cooperatives to socio-economic development particularly in poverty reduction, employment generation, and social integration”. ICOPED’s strength is rooted in decades of relevant experience in implementing academic and training programs and networking with the cooperative sector, government agencies and NGOs involved in cooperative development work.​

  • To help produce graduates with strong academic background and professional skills in managing cooperatives towards bio-enterprise development;
  • To undertake research and extension programs that support policy-making for cooperatives and enhance their roles in sustainable and broad-based development; and
  • To serve as a link between UPLB and the government and private sector on public policy and technical assistance in the promotion of cooperatives as viable business enterprises.
