The New Normal Cooperative Training for the Sta. Rosa City Cooperative Development Council by the Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development
ICOPED

The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) braved its first face-to-face training for 2021. ICOPED organized and conducted the Training Workshop on Strategic Planning for Sta. Rosa City Cooperative Development Council (CCDC) last 10 February 2021 at the ICOPED Auditorium. The said event was in partnership with the Sta. Rosa City Cooperative Development Office (CCDO), led by EnP. Paulo G. Velasco, and in coordination with the UPLB Office of the Chancellor, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs and the COVID Prevention and Mitigation Team.

Prior to the physical training, a diligent inspection of the ICOPED vicinity and an orientation on safety protocols to ICOPED staff was done by the UPLB COVID Prevention and Mitigation Team, led by Dr. Jessie Imelda F. Walde, to ensure the participants’ safety.

UPLB Vice Chancellor for Administration Roland T. Bello welcomes the participants  

The said event was graced by Vice Chancellor for Administration Rolando T. Bello. The training workshop was facilitated by aProf. Liezel S. Cruz, ICOPED’s Director and Faculty staff. Interactive discussion covered topics on the formulation of vision and mission of the organization, assessment of organizational capacity and external environment, and formulation of goals, strategies, and action plans. A hands-on workshop on developing their vision and mission statement, identifying their organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in relation to the PESTEL (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal) was done by the participants.

A total of 12 Executive Officers from Holistic Credit Cooperative, Santa Rosa City Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SRCEMPC), Sanlo Consumers Cooperative, Aichi Forging Family Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFFMPC), STAG Transport Service Cooperative (STAG TSC), Jeannie’s Touch Multi-purpose Cooperative (JTMPC), Santa Rosa Laguna Transport Cooperative, Laguna Bel Air Transport Service Cooperative (LBATSC), Kasangkap Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Santa Rosa City Unified Transport Cooperative (STARCUT).
