The Internship Pre-Orientation program was attended by more than seventy BS Economics Students.

The Department of Economics held its Internship Pre-Orientation Seminar on March 20 at the CEM Function Hall.

The seminar has two key objectives. First is to ensure that the prospective BS Econ interns are informed about the requirements for them to enroll in the course in the coming Midyear, July-August2023. Second is to equip them with sufficient knowledge about what to expect and what is expected from them once they enter the workplace of their chosen Host Training Establishment.

To meet the goals of the activity, Asst. Prof. Luisito C. Abueg of the Department of Economics explained the requirements of the internship program. His presentation was followed by a pre-employment seminar by Ms. Zaereth Edulian, BS Economics Class 2013, and currently the People Analytics Manager of Reed Elsevier Philippines.

The event became an avenue for the students to ask questions and clarifications regarding the internship. More than 70 BS Econ students who are prospective interns participated in the event.

The internship program of the Department of Economics is scheduled in July to August 2023. DE is actively coordinating with potential host training establishments for the internship. Interested parties can send inquiries through the following email: [email protected].
