UPLB VALUES Lab conducts a training workshop on economic valuation

The University of the Philippines Los Baños Valuation and Accounting of Ecosystem Services Laboratory (UPLB VALUES Lab) conducted a training workshop on the Economic Valuation of Environment, Natural Resources and Ecosystem Services on 13 – 15 September 2023 at the Obdulia F. Sison Hall, UPLB. It was attended by 20 participants from state colleges and universities and from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

The VALUES is a joint project undertaking of the DE-CEM and IRNR-CFNR with Dr Canesio Predo as project leader.

Our very own Dr. Ma. Angeles Catelo and Dr. Asa Jose Sajise–together with Dr. Canesio Predo, Dr. Margaret M. Calderon, Dr. Analyn L. Codilan–served as resource persons for this event.

The valuation training is the first of a series of training courses to be implemented by the VALUES Lab, which is being funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Council, Department of Science and Technology (PCAARRD-DOST). The next event will be the training workshop on valuation data analytics that will be held on 12 – 14 October 2023 at UPLB.
